Fedora is a popular linux distro based on RHEL and CentOS 7. It’s more forward in it’s package support while still being a part of the RHEL family making it also useful for VFX and film work while also allowing us to take advantage of bleeding edge advances in virtualization. This cheat sheet tries to go over in somewhat of an order installation steps to get it fully up and running with Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Mari, USD, and other development libraries and applications.
